What do you do? Are you a student here (we were standing in front of the Academy of Art University)?

Yes, I’m a merchandising student. This is my last year here.

Congratulations! What are you going to do after?

I’m either going to get an internship, if possible, or if not, I’m going to go back to China and start my own business.

Will you stay in San Francisco if you get an internship, or will you go somewhere else, like New York?

I think I will probably go to LA or New York. Most of my friends go to New York and start their careers there. Probably I will meet my friends there after this year.

Do you have a dream job? What is it?

Of course! Being a buyer is my dream job. I’ve learned a lot about the fashion industry in the past few years, and being a buyer is definitely the best way for me to do what I want to do.

A buyer for whom?

I don’t have a specific brand, but Barney’s would be great.

I had a feeling you were going to say that.

I’d love to work for a big company.

Did you always want to be in fashion?

Yes. Absolutely.

So you’ve always had an interest.

I have a passion, and I believe in my taste.
