Meet Jessica. She is a designer at Levi’s, and I ran into her while wandering around Jackson Square, a neighborhood I love because it makes me feel like I’m in Boston without my actually having to be in Boston.
Jessica makes me want a marching band shirt. Maybe I’ll find one somewhere in all of this stuff I’ve accumulated over the past six years. Today I managed to fill five boxes with stuff I’m NOT taking with me to New York. And there is so much more.
Jacket: Vintage, belonged to Jessica’s mom. Sweatshirt: Vintage, from Levi’s tailor shop at Union Square. Jeans: 1960s Levi’s 605 taper, found at Rose Bowl. Boots: Rachel Comey (I want, I want, I want). Pin: Vintage, belonged to Jessica’s grandmother. Bracelets: Vintage. Rings: Erica Weiner brass feather, Paxton Gate cast branch, vintage ethnic band (right); vintage Navajo floral, band from Tibetan store on Haight (left).
In sum? Vintage done right.
