I didn’t get to spend Mother’s Day with my mother, but I did channel her by carrying a bag she gave me. Actually, she gave me three of them, bought god knows how many years ago, all in different colors. The scarf I inherited from my late great-aunt Helen, who didn’t actually have her own children, but with whom I was close. She was the only other Seward woman, aside from me, born in the last century. I thought I would honor her as well. Hope you guys all had a good one.
