Ten days ago my friend Ariadne was in town from Athens. We decided to spend the afternoon walking around, and the Ferry Building was our first stop. While Ariadne combed through Sur La Table, I was outside surveying the lay of the land. That’s where I met Michelle. She’s from Denver. When I asked her to tell me where she found her clothes, she said, “I honestly don’t know where all of this is from. Thrift stores.” Which just proves that you don’t need to have a ton of money to look amazing.
