I met Jungho Kim while wandering around the Mission one early Monday evening. He’s getting an MFA in design in Gothenberg, Sweden, and he splits his time between Gothenberg and SF. When he’s not studying (or flying back and forth between continents), Jungho is one of five designers involved in a company called Ass Savers, which manufactures covers for bike seats so that you don’t have to walk around with a wet ass all day if it rains. Apparently Gothenberg is one of the wettest cities in Sweden. I had no idea.
Jungho also helped make Seoulist, an online English magazine in Seoul, Korea.
What caught my eye was Jungho’s styley scarf, which is from H&M, although he has a friend, Sophy Wong, who also makes some pretty cool scarves. She’s a local designer who makes everything by hand. Click here to score one of her pieces.
