365 Photo Project: Weekend Roundup

Shot with Hipstamatic, Loftus lens. Blanko Noir film. Lowered the contrast in Luminance, added drama in Snapseed. Filtered through Earlybird in Instagram.

Downtown on Friday afternoon, again after a trip to the dentist. Wandered through Union Square into SoMA, experimenting with different Hipstamatic combinations, only to end up where I began, with the usual: Loftus and Blanko Noir.

Shot with Hipstamatic, Matty ALN lens, Blanko Noir film. Added Earlybird filter in Instagram.

Saturday I decided to get crazy, play around with some other lenses, and not worry about the results. Above is one that turned out well, I think. Plus, I love those boots. I think they’re Rachel Comey (anyone?). I really need a pair of black booties but seem only to be drawn to footwear that is in the brown family. Not sure what that’s about. I saw the same girl later in the day, at Books Inc. on Chestnut, where I was buying The Hunger Games. I was up until 2:30 last night finishing it. So good. Can’t wait to see the movie.

Shot with Hipstamatic, Robot0 Glitter lens, Dream Canvas film. Cropped in Camera+, added Clarity. Processed with X-Pro II filter in Instagram.

Saturday night I discovered that Hipstamatic was reissuing something called RetroPak One, which contained films and lenses I didn’t already own and had missed the first time around. I bought it immediately. So the experimentation continued on into Sunday, which was fun. Hence the canvas-like texture of the image above, which I totally dig. And polka-dot hair bows are totally cute, no?

    Great shots :)

Ditto on the Hunger games. I have spent more than a few late nites recently unable to put it down! On book two now, already got tix for opening nite of the film, want the nailpolish collection. (have you seen? It’s by china glaze.)

I lost more sleep this weekend. And yes, I do want to see the nail polish. How cool!
