Streetstyle: Erin Loechner of Design For Mankind

Last Friday I spent the day at the Conference of Creative Entrepreneurs (CCE), a small business conference that brings together creative professionals. The experience was incredibly inspiring, and allowed me to meet a bunch of interesting people, all of whom are trying (and in some cases, succeeding) to find ways to support themselves through their creative talents.

One of the highlights of the experience was getting to have coffee with one of my favorite bloggers, the lovely Erin Loechner. She’s responsible for Design for Mankind, a really great website that features cool art, design, and fashion. I strongly encourage you to check it out if you aren’t familiar with it.

How to keep black looking fresh in the summertime? Add polka dots!

Erin is smart, charming and down to earth. She sat on two panels, “Monetizing Your Blog,” and “Freelancing Success,” and described herself as the kind of person who says yes first, even to stuff she’s never done, and then figures out the how-to later. How kickass is that attitude?

Seriously styley AND seriously awesome.

Stay tuned for more CCE streetstyle in the coming weeks. In the meantime, check out Picture Book, my Tumblr photojournal.

Erin is adorable! I’m loving her fresh take on dark tights…I know I’ve been struggling with that ever since I moved to SF!
