My styley friend: Tina Lee

I met Tina a few months ago. She was taking a break from work, and she was wearing fabulous red leather pants. Unfortunately, none of the photos I took of her then came out as well as I would have liked, so I emailed her and asked if she’d be willing to appear here as a Styley Friend. And she said yes!

Hippie and girly come together with fringed sandals and a pale, airy, babydoll blouse.

Blouse: Vivo. Shorts: Nordstrom Rack.

Tina works in retail and at a medical office. Her fashion inspiration comes from seeing what other people are wearing and asking herself, “How can I make that work for me?” And of course she reads endless fashion magazines.

That skirt used to be a dress. Neat trick, right?

Skirt and jacket: Vivo.

Tina doesn’t believe in labels, but she does believe in quality, as well as personalizing an item to make it her own. Fit is extremely important to her, so she “sews [her] fingers to death.”

Proving that there's no such thing as too many ruffles.

Top: Twelve by Twelve. Shorts: Crossroads.
