I saw Betsy as I was walking out of the gym. I risked life and limb running across the street to stop her. I have no doubt that my effort was worth it:

Polka dot skirt: Forever 21. Sunglasses: Kate Spade. Coat: Me-Jane. Bag: Tokidoki by LeSportsac. Shoes: Nicole. Tights: Spanx.

Betsy is a shopgirl at a vintage boutique. She lives in the Marina/Cow Hollow area of San Francisco, and cites a wide variety of style influences: Alice in Wonderland, DC Comics, fairy tales, 60s English mod, space-age aesthetics, Strawberry Shortcake, Lula magazine, mermaids, dreams, and the Mad Hatter.
Apparently Strawberry Shortcake has undergone a radical transformation since my last interaction with her, so I include both versions here for comparison (old is on the left, new on the right):

For those of you interested in integrating more comic strip style into your wardrobe, Betsy suggested checking out Betty Felon’s blog, Fashion Tips from Comic Strips. Let out your inner Superfriend!
